Dr. Sliger has educated thousands in the charitable, education, business, and civic sectors over the last 30-plus years. This training course is conducted on-site (at your location); your team of up to ten individuals will be trained by Dr. Sliger, ensuring you get the most excellent instruction. The course will be held over two consecutive days, lasting roughly from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM daily. The session will end when your team is confident in understanding the grant writing process. The comprehensive training covers everything from A to Z, making it one of the unsurpassed grant writing training experiences. During the two-day training, your team will work on an actual grant proposal for your organization. The course will include all training materials provided by ECS Grants.

ECS Grants offers a convenient two-day, in-person (on-site) grant-writing course for nonprofit organizations. Investing in grant writing can yield significant cost benefits for your organization. Your first funded grant proposal will pay for having your team trained. ECS specializes in customizing training for your in-house grant writing team. During the training session, your team will work on a grant proposal for your organization. With his expertise, Dr. Sliger can efficiently equip your staff to become a highly effective grant-writing team.
Scheduling a two-day On-Site-Grant Training session with ECS is easy.
Your organization only needs to do three things to schedule a grant training session:
- Provide a classroom or meeting room suitable for the number of participants attending the session (internet access is required).
- Provide a screen and a flip chart.
- Provide refreshments each morning.
After you register for the course, detailed instructions will be emailed. The course and all training materials cost $1850.00 (including all travel expenses for Dr. Sliger). Any unused seats can be sold to participants outside your organization to recoup the cost of the grant training session. For example, if your organization needs four individuals trained in-house, you could offer/sell the remaining six seats to individuals outside your organization who want to be trained as grant writers. Dr. Sliger can only work with a few nonprofit organizations monthly (he tries to accommodate your schedule whenever possible).
The training will instruct your team on how to write winning grant proposals and where to look for funding. Upon completing the course, participants will receive a grant writing certificate.

Writing solid and competitive grant proposals is critical to the success of your grant writing efforts. This course will provide instruction on the 12 components of a winning grant proposal (cover letter, abstract, background, needs statement, project description, etc.). Dr. Sliger will discuss each component in detail.
Many grant proposals lose points or are not funded because of deficiencies in the evaluation component of the grant. This training will provide an understanding of program/project evaluation for writing winning grant proposals. Two different types of evaluation (funders want to see both in a grant proposal) will be discussed, and a program/project evaluation model will be presented.
All grant proposals must include a well-prepared budget. Funders usually have more questions about budgets (how the money will be spent) than any other grant component. This course will instruct on preparing program/project budgets, appropriate budget formats, and terminology.
Knowing how and to whom to submit your grant proposal is crucial to your success as a grant writer. This training provides participants with the knowledge and skills to conduct a funding search like the “pros.” Both print and online resources will be discussed.
This two-day training course will provide numerous valuable tips to help ensure that grant proposals are as successful as possible.
